5520 Series
Universal Edge/Aggregation Switch Platform
The 5520 Series is a family of high-performance, feature-rich edge and aggregation switches designed for the next-generation digital enterprise. Available in 24 and 48-port 1 Gigabit models, 1/2.5/5 Gigabit multi-rate models, as well as, a 24-port 10 Gigabit model, the 5520 Series provides end-to-end secure network segmentation and advanced policy capabilities that can be deployed across a range of edge, aggregation, and wiring closet environments. As a universal hardware platform, the 5520 offers a user-selectable choice of Extreme’s flagship switch operating systems for a uniquely flexible platform.
The 5520 supports 10Gb and 25Gb modular uplinks for flexible linkage to other switches or devices over a range of media. Extended Edge Switching controlling bridge is also available in support of V300/V400 edge devices, and select models offer a choice between Front to Back or Back to Front cooling. The 5520 Series offers 30W, 60W, and 90W PoE, making it an ideal wired backend for wireless APs or in support of next-gen powered Ethernet devices, such as digital signage, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, smart lighting, or point-of-sale terminals.

X450-G2 Series
Scalable edge switch with ExtremeXOS® modular operating system
The X450-G2 series is based on Extreme Networks ExtremeXOS, a highly resilient OS that provides continuous uptime, manageability, and operational efficiency. Each switch offers the same high-performance, non-blocking hardware technology, The X450-G2 series switches provide high-performance routing and switching, flexible stacking, PoE+support, and comprehensive security, while extending the benefits of ExtremeXOS to the campus edge. The X450-G2 Series easy-to-use, yet powerful, management options include ExtremeCloud IQ and ExtremeCloud IQ – Site Engine for either cloud-based or onpremise oversight and configuration. The X450-G2 also supports role-based policies and Fabric Attach for secure, automated access to specific network resources and applications.
Intelligent Switching
The X450-G2 supports sophisticated and intelligent Layer 2 switching, as well as Layer 3 IPv4/ IPv6 routing. It also provides role-based policy capabilities, bidirectional Access Control Lists, and granular ingress/egress bandwidth limiting. Altogether, these enable fine-grained control over traffic, as well as secured access to network services and resources.

High-performance 24-port 10Gb aggregation switch
Advanced 10Gb Enterprise LAN Aggregation Switch
The X590 Series products are purpose-built 24-port 1Gb/10Gb switches designed for high performance enterprise and aggregation applications. The X590 can also support a range of uplink interface speeds, including 10Gb, 25Gb, 40Gb, 50Gb, and 100Gb, all in a compact 1RU form factor. This enables the X590 to be flexibly deployed in Enterprise LAN or top-of-rack applications. The X590 can also serve as the controlling aggregation switch within Extreme’s Extended Edge Switching solution.
